Application: TR7/8 Triumph Part #: see comments Other Part #: see comments Other Vehicles: References: WWWedge e-mail list
Comments: The front brake caliper bleeder screws ( RTC 1466 ) are roughly equivalent to the Speed bleeder part # SB7100S. The rear brake cylinder bleeder screws ( RTC 1526 ) are roughly equivalent to the Speed bleeder SB1010S. They are also available in Stainless Steel. - Odd Hedberg
I have just been hunting speed bleeders for my TR7. The back is M10x1.0 thread. I think the front is M7x1.0 thread. (Just another reference to verify Odd's part numbers.) -

Brake Calipers
|
Application: TR7/8 Triumph Part #: N/A Other Part #: Other Vehicles: References: WWWedge e-mail list
Comments: For the workaround to be used on a TR7, upgrade to the TR8 front brake rotors.
Workaround: Rover SD1 calipers bolt on, although it may be necessary to add washers under the caliper mounting bolts and trim a small amount of material off the backing plates. Should work with the steel wheels. May require TR8 brake rotors.
1972-90 MK1/2/3 Ford Capri (M16) caliper or Austin Princess four piston caliper is also a direct bolt up. Both calipers are widely used in the UK and Europe in upgrade kits for various vehicles by installing spacers between the two caliper halves which allows use with a suitable vented rotor.

Workaround: In a pinch, the late 1970s Datsun 280Z caliper piston may fit the TR8. (Not verified)

Rear Wheel Cylinders
|
Application: TR7/8 Triumph Part #: GWC1212 (Top picture), GWC1213 (Bottom Picture) Other Part #: Other Vehicles: References: WWWedge E-mail list
Comments: Part # GWC1213 has a bore diameter of 19mm and was fitted to TR7 4spd, TR7 early autos (up to VIN402000), and all production TR8s. Part # GWC1212 has a bore diameter of 17.5mm and was fitted to TR7s with 5spds and TR7 autos (after VIN 402000)
There is a suggestion that some early TR8 coupes may have used the smaller bore cylinders but this is not reflected in any parts lists. The two cylinders are virtually the same outside dimensions but have different bore sizes to achieve the correct brake balance on the cars they are fitted to. Note that they have their locating pins in different places (see pictures) so it is not possible to fit the wrong ones by mistake. Russ Cooper
On a related note, GWC1211, a Stag rear wheel cylinder, looks like it might fit too and is a bit larger bore than the stock TR8 wheel cylinder (20 mm bore instead of 19 mm). Anyone ever tried fitting one of those Stag ones to a TR8? This may have already been clear, but just for extra clarity, all the BL and many seller catalogs are wrong. The 8 used the larger bore which is listed for the 4spd/Auto TR7. The listing that groups the 8 with the 5 spd 7's is wrong. Jim Tencate
