“You might save yourself some trouble by replacing the pump with a fairly easily sourced replacement. The pump appears to be your basic Saginaw SAE pump. Part number cross at Checkers is 20840,   Autozone PN 7253,  Powercraft #18811.  You will have to swap out reservoir but you are half way there.”

I have the package here, it is an Earl's part number, 1178110ERL (5/8 Dowty-Seal).  It is the exact part I used in my car without problem. Pegasus Racing lists the following (search the Pegasus site for "Dowty"): 3240-5/8BSP Dowty Sealing Washer for 5/8 BSP Ports.  Also see this Holley link:http://www.holley.com/178110ERL.asp I will look later in my MIL-SPEC manuals and see if I can come up with a  True aircraft part number.  Dyna Seal is a branded item and will likely be the best quality available.

Comments:

TR7/8 wheels are 13 X 5.5” size, Offset +24.5mm and hub centric on a relatively rare 4 X 3.75” bolt circle.

The Triumph Herald/Spitfire/GT6 used same bolt circle but with smaller diameter studs and wheels are typically 4.5” or 5” wide with lug (nut) centric centering.

MGF,  Rover Metro & Montego, Austin Marina & early Lotus.

TR7 steel wheels will not clear TR8 front brake calipers. Something to think about for TR8 owners with Steel spare wheels.

For custom wheels, the following web site details a number of options that fit the 4 X 3.75 bolt circle:

Stock: (pictured) Thread: 12mm x 1.50 RH, requires a 7/8” wrench.

Part number: GOR-73137SM made by Gorilla available from Summit Racing

http://www.summitracing.com/search/?keyword=73137SM&dds=1   These nuts are not the same as stock cosmetically, and they require a 13/16” wrench, but do fit when used with the supplied washers.

“Dorman part number 611 108  (http://www.dormanproducts.com/gsearch.aspx?type=keyword&q=611-108)   These are the lug nuts I use on my TR8 wheels.  The shank is just slightly too long, so I bought an extra set of chrome washers and put pairs of washers under the nut shoulder rather than singles.  This works OK for me.  “
