Fuel Injection Feedback Monitor, aka 'Gizmo'
Jim TenCate, Dave Massey
Fuel Injection owners rejoice. Always wondered how close your car is to the "ideal" mixture at idle and how to adjust your air flow meter? There are two ways to do it, one is with an exhaust gas analyzer or the other is a special tool you can't find anywhere (see image from the ROM right).
TWOA has gone a step further and we've built that tool and it's now available for "rent" for a small fee. We've built that tool shown in the ROM except instead of just 4 LEDs per injector bank, we've got a string of 10 on each side. For TR8 one for the RH bank, one for the LH bank. The TR7 has a string of 10 LED on just one side. The "gizmo" plugs into the mixture monitor port dangling near the ECU---the feedback control voltages can be measured there---and it tells you how close you are to the ideal mixture. It only requires working O2 sensors and the feedback circuits to be alive and functional. Setting things up is a breeze. It's now available for "rent", full instructions included.
